His membership was accepted in the presence of Avinash Pandey, the General Secretary and in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, as announced by Dr. CP Rai, the Chairman of the State Media Department. Amanmani, the son of former minister Amarmani Tripathi, hails from Nautanwa in Maharajganj. He had previously served as an independent MLA from 2017 until the 2022 elections.
Aman Mani Tripathi, the son of former Minister Amarmani and former MLA of Nautanwa, joined the Congress party on Saturday. There is speculation that he might contest the Lok Sabha elections on a Congress ticket. Aman Mani, who was previously an independent MLA, has sparked discussions in political circles by joining the Congress. In the 2017 assembly elections, he contested and won as an independent candidate after his initial loss on an SP ticket in 2012. In the last Lok Sabha election, the Congress had initially nominated Aman Mani’s sister Tanushree but later replaced her with Supriya Shrinet. Despite this change, BJP’s Pankaj Chaudhary secured victory for the sixth consecutive time. However, Congress has shown renewed confidence in Aman Mani, potentially fielding him for the Lok Sabha elections in the Maharajganj constituency.
Speculation surrounds whether Aman Mani will receive a Congress ticket for the Lok Sabha elections after his recent induction into the party. There is also talk about Congress considering him as a candidate for the upcoming elections. This follows the recent joining of former BSP leader Sadal Prasad into the Congress fold.
